About the Role
We are seeking a Founding AI Engineer based in Australia, with flexibility for fully remote work. As a founding team member, you work with our team to architect, design, and develop software solutions that comprise Voltaire’s AI-powered platform. Your responsibilities will include writing clean, secure code, building back-end systems, scaling the platform, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical development with business goals. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical vision of the company and building a robust product to help legal teams deliver greater access to justice.
What You Will Be Doing
- Architect and implement all AI and LLM features end-to-end for our product
- Make decisions on our system architecture, tech stack, LLM features, agentic tools, and more
- Work with technologies such as Node.js, AWS, and Anthropic
- Maintain our codebase, balancing high-quality code, security and speed of development
- Drive forward products and solve broad technical challenges
What We're Looking For
- A passionate engineer with ideally 2 years of experience building great products using cutting-edge AI technologies
- You're familiar with implementing AI and LLM applications as well as building integrations
- You’re a problem solver who’s not afraid to come up with creative solutions, work autonomously, and take ownership and pride in the code you write
- You have long-term thinking about software infrastructure and security
